Overview

SG Tracker ("the app") is a personal golf performance tracking application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for any commercial purpose.

Data We Collect

The app collects the following data:

• Email address and password — required only if you choose to create an account for cloud sync across devices. Account creation is optional; the app works fully offline without it.
• Golf round data — course name, date, hole scores, shot distances, and strokes gained results that you enter manually.
• App settings and preferences — stored locally on your device.

We do not collect your name, phone number, physical location, contacts, photos, or any other device information.

How Data Is Stored

Your data is stored in two places:

• On your device — using local browser storage (IndexedDB). This works fully offline and is never accessible to anyone else.
• Cloud account (optional) — if you create an account, your email address and golf data are stored securely in Neon, a third-party cloud database. This allows you to sync and access your data across multiple devices. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

Cloud sync requires account creation. You may use the app indefinitely without creating an account.

How We Use Your Email

Your email address is used solely for:

• Account authentication (sign in and sign out)
• Password reset if you forget your password

We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional messages. We will only contact you at your email address if you reach out to us first for support.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with any third parties for advertising, analytics, or commercial purposes.

The only third-party service used is Neon (for optional cloud accounts), which operates under its own privacy policy at neon.tech/privacy-policy.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you maintain an account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at sgtracker.golf@gmail.com. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.

Children's Privacy

SG Tracker is designed for golfers of all ages, including junior players. The app does not include advertising, in-app purchases, or social features. Account creation requires an email address — users under 13 should have a parent or guardian create and manage their account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without consent, please contact us at sgtracker.golf@gmail.com and we will promptly delete the account.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. All cloud data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with encryption. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Local device data is protected by your device's own security mechanisms.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data you have entered into the app
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time
• Use the app entirely offline without creating an account
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
